5 then the Lord will create above every dwelling place of Mount Zion, and above her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day and the shining of a flaming fire by night. For over all the glory there will be a covering. (Isaiah 4:5 NKJV)
This was for some reason hard. It is such a short chapter. You see these chapters in Isaiah are talking about prophesies against Judah.
Then there was this chapter – almost …. whats the word …. redeeming.
When the Lord has washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and purged the blood of Jerusalem from her midst, by the spirit of judgment and by the spirit of burning, (Isaiah 4:4 NKJV)
God washed them from their sins and because of that He remained there with them. God will always cover you and protect you and ….whatever. He will as long as you confess your sins.
If we are really born again, we want to be washed, have the presence of the LORD, and enjoy His protection. Many people only want the LORD’s constant presence and protection. But He doesn’t grant those apart from His cleansing. (David Guzik)
There is freedom in Christ, theres hope, theres love. You just must allow Christ to cleanse your sins.
